I have an older version of Excel, good to get that clear. I would like
to set up my excel spreadsheet, so that when a certain cell DOESNT
equal zero, whatever number in there TURNS RED. And when it finally
equals zero, it goes back to black.

The spreadsheet is for a company and we are watching to make sure no
one owes money. If they still owe money, we want it to show up in RED
and it just takes TOO long to always change the colors.

If you could please help me that would be great. If you could email me
the answer that would be even better!

Thanks!
P

hi, don't know what ver of excel you have, you never specified. but if
you have conditional formatting (Format - Conditional Formatting) add
a condition to where Cell Value Is - Less Than or Equal To - 0 - set
Format.

One way is to go to FormatCellsCustom and enter something like
# ##0,00;[Red]-# ##0,00
See Excel Help for details.

Another way is to use FormatConditional Formatting if that is available in your
"older" Excel version.
