Default automatic recieve/send when opening

or some reasson or another, when I open outlook, the system does not
automaticly start receive/send as it does on my other computer the same
program from same windows/office program disks. I've compared all my
settings and they are the same.

You've said this before. Perhaps in some other language it's true, but for
English Outook there is no "send/receive on starting" setting. The "Schedule
an automatic send/receive every..." takes care of performing the send/receive
on startup. There is a "Perform and automatic send/receive when exitring"
option, however. Perhaps that's what you remember.

Like I said, I've checked the settings on each computer, and they are
identical. Neither computer is set to automatic send/receive at any
interval, but one automaticly receives when I open up the program window. I
get a ton of technical mail with drawings/pics/pdfs that take a long time to
download. I like it when I just open the outlook program and go get my
coffee while messages are downloading. It's only a small inconvenience to
have to hit the send/receive button, yet, i would like it to operate the
same as my other PC. Getting lazy and spoiled i suppose. There must be a
setting in setup somewhere.

I don't use the send/receive every XX minutes feature on either computer. I
prefer to have downloads start when I open the outlook program, and not have
to hit the send/receive button. There must be a setting in setup somewhere
that I have missed. But, I have went through computers sisde by side 3
times now. all my settings match, yet one downloads when I open the
program, w/out any other actions.

I can think of no setting that permits that. Do you have a mobile define
cradled on one PC.

Allen, I am/was having the same problem and I think I found it. Tools,
Send/Receive, Send/Receive Settings and then "disable the send receive
scheduler" by clicking on it. When I restarted Outlook, the send/receive
automatically started.

Let me know,

Pat
