Default downloaded office sp1,2,&3 , now problems

tried to fix outlook problem of-- "not allowing me to email a friend a mp3
(9meg file)", so I downloaded office sp1, 2, 3, when trying to install sp1 it
gets a few errors windows , no install completed, now I can't open excel
office 2000 files, without an error. Need to 'stop' the install wizard I
guess for now for office sp1.
