Default opening emailed files without having to save

How do I make it so I don't have to save Office 2007 files (emailed to me)
before opening? I am accessing email from an Outlook exchange server via the
web. I am running Office 2007 and Vista.

Here is what happens: Students email me files and I click on the link, if
it is a 2007 file I have to save first. Not so with files that aren't in the
..docx, .pptx or .xlsx format. (2003 filese seem to launch browser first). I
just want to be able to click on link, have it launch app and open file. No
hoops!

If you're accessing an Exchnage server via the web (i.e., within a web
browser), then you're not using any part of Office. You're using Outlook Web
Access, which is part of Exchange and questions about OWA can be posted in
microsoft.public.exchange.clients.
