Problem with multiple users opening a worksheet
We occassionally have problems with multiple users being able to open
the same worksheet and edit it at the same time. The worksheet is not set to be shared, and normally notifies the second person that it is already open and that they will have read-only access. I am not too sure where to proceed with this. My thoughts are that it could be a corrupt workbook, or perhaps network connectivity problems. They are using the same version of Excel (2002), but one is on Windows 2000 Pro and the other is on Windows XP Pro. The document is stored on a Windows 2000 server. Any ideas? --- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com/ |

Problem with multiple users opening a worksheet
Here's something that might help.
Try Save As in the File menu, then General Options in the Tools dropdown list. A dialog box called Save Options will appear. Have a look to see if there's something there that can solve your problem. --- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com/ |
