changing outlook 2007 default behaviour (follow up - flag for me,menu bars in email creation, adding appointment to a diff calendar fromappointment window)

I have searched the net high and low, with no success, surely i'm just
being dumb but!

- how can I stop outlook 2007 defaulting the "flag for me" , I want a
follow up to be applied to the recipient only. (the original 2003
behaviour, I don't want 1000's of tasks as a result of emails I send)

- how can I bring back the menu for the email editor or create
appointment e.g. I don't want fancy toolbars, I want to be able to use
menu bar with keyboard as its much quicker (e.g. inserting a signature
from a menu, rather than the mouse)

- how can I add an appointment to a different calendar when creating
the appointment? (I don't want to have to click on the calendar, I
want to create the appointment with a short cut key e.g. Ctrl+Shift+A
from any window, then select)

all these things were doable in outlook 2003, but not it seems, in the
"new and improved version'.

1) Press the Follow Up button when composing the message and choose "Flag
for Recipients..."
You can add the button to the QAT if you want easier access to it.

2) Not sure what you mean here. Keyboard shortcuts still work. ALT, H, G for
instance is the key sequence to insert a signature via your keyboard.
Alternatively you can consider using this addin if you want old-style menus;
http://addins.howto-outlook.com/psch...bboncustomizer

3) CTRL+SHIFT+A still works. You can add the "Move to Folder..." button to
the QAT if you want that option available to you when creating an
appointment.

thanks for the insight - i had searched for shortcut keys, they are
just not as intuitive as menus which lay it all out without having to
learn often "random" key combinations.

on the first item, i understand how i can select the 'for me' and
uncheck the 'for recipient'. but i was hoping to not have to do this
each time i do a followup (Ctrl + Shift + G, return) should be the
quick approach with no additional strokes to mark an email for follow-
up. now i have to open the "settings" for followup (which currently is
only doable from the damn tool bar). - can i change this default i.e.
it defaults to just be for the recipient only?

i will definitely go and find the addin - nice one

Aha, I see what you mean. No, you cannot change this default and it doesn't
look like the command is available as a single option either; only as a
menu.

So via the keyboard it would now be;
ALT, H, W, P, ENTER
or
CTRL+G, SPACE, TAB, SPACE, ENTER

You might be able to simplify this by using VBA but for that, check with the
developers in outlook.program_vba down the hall.
