"Normal does not exist" error message
Installed office xp professional '03 - try to open a file in Word and error
message is "normal does not exist". What does this mean and how can it be corrected so that I am able to open files in Word and other programs? - nicole |

It wants to open the "normal" blank office DOT file. Which
is either missing or mapped to a different place. If you have a Word Doc aready on the computer, you should be able to open it and go to -tools-options-file locations and look where your templates are directed. Default location (Depending on your OS WNNT\Profiles\(your username)\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates You should have a "Normal.dot" file there.
