Default IE6 autocomplete problem

I have been searching for weeks to a weird problem I have. Internet Explorer
6 does not save login and password on websites. It asks if I would like to
keep using auto complete but when I return to the site I still have to type
in the login and password. I have tested the sites on another computer and it
works fine. I attempted a fix found on here but it did not work. When you go
into the registry the passwords are all encrypted in the Intelliforms\SPW key
so I know it is saving them. Just not retreiving them.
Any help would be welcome.

Are you making the selections in the Internet Explorer, tools, Internet Options,
content tab, autocomplete button?

I have been in there and cleared passwords and forms. I have unchecked
everything, rebooted, and then rechecked them. I have followed other forum
suggestions on cleaning it all out, deleted registry entries. I have gone
around in circles with the results being the same.

Have you done a repair?
How to reinstall or repair Internet Explorer and Outlook Express in Windows XP

Some things to try
Move your temporary folder
Look at the "View Objects", delete any that say "unknown" or "damaged.

I tried what you suggested with no difference. I have not tried a reinstall
or repair to Internet Explorer since that would mean repairing Windows
itself. I am leaving that for the last ditch try. I would love to just be
able to repair IE with out going the whole 9 yards.
