Problems with keyboard

Lately I have been having trouble with my keyboard I cannot use my spacebar without having to press the Shift key What a pain Also my delete key and period key do not work

Please help I do a lot of keyboarding and this is so frustrating!as I have been ground to a halt

All apps or just Word? If the former, you need a new keyboard.
If the latter, then it might take a bit of digging - see the tips at

Thank you Graham for you advice. However, I had suspected that the problem was a conflict with an accessibility program called ClickIt!. It appears that although I uninstalled it, there were other areas that I hadn't checked. I have been trying for the past 2 days to find a fix. A friend also made suggestions, I tried them and it worked. The world is right again!
