Default Heading1 - Heading2 Vertical spacing

I have Heading1 with 24points before and 12 points after spacing
and Heading2 with 16points before and 12 points after spacing

When Heading 2 follows Heading 1 immediatly, the vertical spacing between those two is too wide(12 + 16points). In this situation, how can i automatically set the Heading 2 before spacing to just 16pt.

Thanks in advance

Which version of Word are you using? (It matters.)

At present it is in Word 2000, but this template should be compatible for other versions in the future.

Make sure that "Don't use HTML paragraph auto spacing" is *not* checked in
Tools | Options | Compatibility.
