Default working with forms

Hi all,
just a little help please. I am conducting some research and are trying to
generate a form that could be emailed to the receipents, have them fill out
the form and mail it back to me. My problem is I have the form working on
this computor, but when it is viewed on a different machine with a different
operating system (both OS X and other WIN machines) the filled in data gets
washed out when sent back ? What am I doing wrong???

If you are using Microsoft Word forms: I have seen this happen in protected forms using MS Word form fields. You could try unprotecting the form; you could also check the print settings to make sure it does not reset or update form data when printing.
It's been a while since I encountered that problem; I have not seen it in Word 2003.

If you are using Adobe Acrobat forms: these pdf forms are not generally savable; that is, you can fill them out and print them, but once you close the document the filled in information is lost.
If you own the full version of Adobe Acrobat ($400) (not the free Reader), you can specifically enable saving for the form.

How are the recipients saving the form before they send it back? I have
people save in HTML when there are various operating systems involved.
Usually does the trick.

I think you have a double post running. see comment above from
Dawn Crosier. Your wife needs to save the form to her computer before
posting it back.
Also, if you are using drop down fields you need to unlink the data before
saving and sending. I had help with this in another post.
If you need that info let me know and I will track down the post.
