Default compadable word to save pdf's

I have xp and it's loaded with microsoft works. There is no word program that
well have pdf's. What is the microsoft word compatable? I need help...need
word for college course.

Default compadable word to save pdf's

In Word/Office 2007, you can download and install the free XPS/PDF
add-in from the Microsoft website and save as a .pdf file. In
Word/Office 2003 or earlier, you need a third-party .pdf converter such
as Adobe Acrobat (the full version, not just the free Adobe Reader) or
one of its many freeware/shareware clones (ask Google).

By the way, you don't necessarily need Word to create .pdf files,
because you can create .pdf files from Works too.
