When your newsgroup rejects a new submission, for unknown reasons, it shouldn't just wipe out all the work that went into creating the message. This is completely stupid.

That's what you get when you use CDO as opposed to a newsreader.

Hi Peo,

I m going in a tangential direction but this is sort of important for me. I
did ask this and other questions before but didnt get all my answers.

I understand that there are 3 ways to read/access NG messages. One thru a
normal newsreader like outlook, next wud be to go to the actual website and
third thru Google.

From a Guru's perspective which is the best way to go about NG' s and does
the best way depend upon whats one's requirements are?.

Like I want to excel and I go thru MS's excel NG group only. Also, why is it
that google archives all messages of the past but MS site itself doesnt
archive all the messages.

PS : Whats the full for of CDO?

Regards,
Hari

Best and fastest way is through the news server msnews.microsoft.com

There are 3 other ways, CDO (Collaborative Data Objects),
Excel forum and Google. I have never posted through Google,
I have posted once from the excel forum and a couple of times
through the CDO

The reason I am using the abbreviation CDO is that if you look up
a post posted from microsoft.com using properties you'll see
that it says CDO under Details. Plus a sender named anonymous g

I don't use CDO, but could you compose in Notepad and then copy|paste?

You could do intermediate saves within notepad, too.
