Lost my OE in the "whatever it's called"
Had you just installed the newest version of Windows Live Messenger?
-- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Client - since 2002 www.banthecheck.com "L.Undercover" wrote in message ... I clicked on Outlook Express Icon to get my email on the 16th or 17th, not sure, at the Start.....where it says your name at the top and the Icons are all there listing what program is there, and at the bottom "all programs" I had another OE program in 'all programs' last night I was unable to get in with it, and I did a search looking for OE and I received 59 including hidden files... I just saved them, I didn't want to lose the one with the icon wherever it is.... Today I went into all programs and was able to get my email but I wonder how long it will last and why it just disappeared. I use AVG 9 free, the new one, and also ZA free. Scans every email and everyday. TIA -Lorraine |

Lost my OE in the "whatever it's called"
"L.Undercover" wrote in message ... I realize it isn't a very good description as I don't believe it is called the Start Menu iI mean when you just click START. I use Internet Explorer 6. Do you? I want it in the list that pops up with the icons on the Left side of my puter. I can get it when I am in PSP that way. I tried dragging it with CTRL, but I can't open the START when I have my curser on the icone on my desktop. There must be a way somehow to get it there, I don't know. thanks anyway. Yes, there is but it depends on a few assumptions without any facts. E.g. in XP you probably could right-click, Properties on the Start button Then Customize... then check and select Outlook Express as your E-mail icon. The difference then would be that it would be at the top of the menu with a unique label and a special right-click menu. Bruce's way is simplest when we don't have any facts to work with. ; ) FYI Robert Aldwinckle --- |
