Using two tables to append to another table - Help!
I'm using two unrelated tables to append another table.
Each time I run the query, it adds the correct information, but does it twice. Table1: Employee ID, and other employee info Table 2: Survey code, and other survey into to append to Table 3: Table 1 and 2 do not have a "join". |

Using two tables to append to another table - Help!
It sounds like you really want to do this in two steps
which means table 1 will do the append (meaning to add new records to table 3), then do a seperate update query (meaning to change the fields that were not previously set with the new information from table 2). For example: Insert new record for employee with all the table 3 defined fields - using data from table 1. Then, modify that same record (only fields that pertain to table 2) with table 2 data. So the two steps are completely different query modes - insert vs update. -----Original Message----- I'm using two unrelated tables to append another table.
