Default CCur function in 2003 and 2007

Hi

I had a query in Access 2007 that was using CCur function to convert values
from certain column to currency type. This values were positive and negative
and they also contained a non-braking space - character no. 160. The CCur
function in Access 2007 handled it fined - it converted all the values to
currency format without any errors. But when I saved it in .mdb format and
opened in Access 2003 it was unable to convert it to currency type. How can
I resolve this issue. I also tried using Replace function before converting
to currency. It worked fine but after that I could not connect the data with
pivot table in excel because of the use of replace function.
Any ideas?

Kind regards
Igor
