a2561408.cab
During the setup process, the installer cannot find "A2561408.CAB" to
complete the installation even though the file is in the root directory of the CD and in MSOCache at the time of install. Any ideas? |

mine was a2561405.cab does this mean that this is a pirated product? Mine was installed when my computer was new but then the monitor went on a blink and I couldn't get it back and so ended up renistalling everything as the screen remained blank no matter which monitor I used. Now Idon't have my office 2003. -- atico ------------------------------------------------------------------------ atico's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/member.php?userid=38848 View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=883320 http://forums.techarena.in |

Office 2003 installer cannot find a2561408.cab
Thing is, quite a few people attempting to install one or another version of
O2003 in Vista are getting these messages that it can't find a variety of different *.cab files even when a quick browse shows it's right there in the very directroy it tells us to look for, even when either or both the machine and Office are clean out of the box. There arises the suspicion that we may have got our hands on bad install disks via misbehaving resellers... or at least (and potentially more aggravating), on a disk that *Windows* THINKS is a bad install disk... I have counted quite a few queries on this subject in this forum, and the only concrete suggestions in response apply for cases where there's an old OEM install in the way, not when all parts are apparently "clean". Now Idon't have my office 2003. I feel ya. Am having to run OpenOffice in my Vista machine. |
