Default Aborted Office XP Setup

I'm trying to sort out an aborted installation of Office on a Win98 machine.
The setup did not complete. However the problem is that whenever IE is opened
the first message is for the Office installation disc.

How can I get rid of this problem?

Regards,

Phil

Did you try putting the disk in?

Hi Johhny, thank you very much for taking the trouble to respond. My
apologies to you but in trying to keep the post short I forgot a very
important point. The installation disk was for Office 2003 which of course
does not run on a Win 98 machine. Hence the reason why the install did not
complete.

Regards,

Phil
