Why won't Access 2007 let me create an Email?

My outlook 2007 is set up. Access 2007 lets me send emails to individual
contacts in my tables, but when I go up to the ribbon -- external data --
data collection, the 'create email' button is not clickable. I want to send
emails for my contacts to update their info. Can anyone help please? Thanks.

Hi

I am no expert on this as it is a feature I am currently looking at. I have
just checked and I had the same prob, I suspect u have outlook connecter
hotmail accounts set up, I have just removed my live account from tools
account settings in outlook and restarted access and its all working now.

hope this is of some help, sorry I dont have a technical way around this
problem at the moment.

They also run the emails from a macro attached to a button in northwind
