Remove older copies of Office before installing 2007?
Do I have to delete all other trials and older copies of Office before
installing Office 2007? Or will it write over top of previous versions? |

Hi,
No, you don't have to remove the older versions. This is especially useful if you want to run both versions for a while. The Word/Office installer will give you the option to replace the old version or keep it. -- Cheers macropod [MVP - Microsoft Word] "New" New @discussions.microsoft.com wrote in message ... Remove older copies of Office before installing 2007?
I have Word 2002 from MS Works and PowerPoint and Excel from Office 97 and a
60 day trial for Office 2007 on a new laptop. Now I have purchased the Office Home and Student 2007. Can I just load the new Office H&S 2007 CD or do I need to remove the old Office 97, etc. first? To be okay with installing your purchased version, you must uninstall at
least Office 2007 trial version. I would also uninstall the Word and other programs from 97. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact.
