a required installation file sku011.cab could not be found

I am unable to open Excel without getting this error message. I have
had
Office 2003 loaded on my PC for at least 2 years without this problem.

I have the original CD, but it has not solved my problem.

I could use some guidance.

Could I uninstall / reinstall without loosing any data / files?

too bad neither I nor ratnrol have had a solution offered. Nice to
