Default Increase Automatic number option in Photo Manager

Currently when you choose the number of digits for renaming files, it only
allows "4" digits. This needs to be changed to a higher number. I currently
need at least 6 digits. I have a directory with 102,500 files that I'd like
to rename. Does anyone know how this can be changed, or if there is an
update that can be downloaded?

Hi Daniel,

Usually I would expect that those were in subfolders for some organization and to have the folder load more quickly g but you may
want to look at a 3rd party file renaming utility for that volume, such as http://rename.lupasfreeware.org

Buckland,

Thanks for the reply. I went ahead and downloaded the utility that you
suggested, and when I opened that volume, attempting to select all files, it
locks up. I don't think this utility is stable enough to rename even 10,000
plus files. I love the way Photo Manager functions and wish Microsoft would
just provide a simple patch. If I knew how to program with the proper tools,
I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to figure out. Any other suggestions?

Just an FYI.... I have a volume that contains one main folder, this folder
contains 10 subfolder and each subfolder contains between 10,000 - 105,000
files.

Thank you,
Daniel
