mpegs - PowerPoint and Dells more info
this is the exact info I got from the computer company that set up the room
I was working in The problem is with the Dell Laptop video connection. Dell in order to cut cost made the connection will less power so when it is running both the laptop and the projector it does not have enough power to refresh the projector properly and it causes the issues that we saw (flickering before the mpeg started). The solution that JP Lilley told me was either to us a desktop or run the presentation with the laptop screen off (Function F8) so that you can only see it on the projection screen. Has anyone heard of this? Thanks Sara |

Sara,
A black flicker before a video starts is a common powerpoint problem. A video clip only appearing on the laptop and not projected is a different issue. See Videos play correctly on computer but not on projector (black box) http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00467.htm Dell in order to cut cost made the connection will less power I don't think it's a power thing, more of a "memory" (as in less video memory) to save costs Cheers TAJ Simmons microsoft powerpoint mvp awesome - powerpoint backgrounds, http://www.powerpointbackgrounds.com free powerpoint templates, tutorials, hints and tips etc "Sara Tanner" wrote in message ... this is the exact info I got from the computer company that set up the room I was working in The problem is with the Dell Laptop video connection.
