Default My arrow keys are reversed

Hello,
I have used Excel for a long time and have never seen this. My arrow keys
have been reversed. Up is down, down is up, left is right and right is left.
Everything else seems normal at this point. This occurred in the middle of
a session for no reaon I can explain.
I have checked Excel Options, Advanced and the direction setting is "down".
I can not find any other settings that would seem to make sense. In all
other programs including this question, the arrow keys act as would be
expected.
Have you seen this before, and how might I reverse, reset, change, correct
or what ever to get the arrow keys back to normal in Excel.
I am using Office Home and Student 2007.
Thanks for the help.

You can do it (but you won't want to!) by:

Creating a new workbook.

Change the normal style for numbers to be currency.
In xl2003 menus:
Format|style|select Normal|Modify
and change to the number format you want.

Save it as a template named book.xlt (.xltx or .xltm in xl2007???) and store it
in your XLStart folder.

xl2003 and below will use that template workbook when you create a new workbook
by clicking on the new icon on the standard toolbar.

=====
The reason you won't want to use this is the way it treats any numeric
entry--even dates and times.

Oops.

I posted this in the wrong thread!

Sorry.

I've never seen this problem.

Any chance that it's a keyboard problem?
Have you rebooted your pc?
Have you tried a different keyboard?
Have you tried starting excel in safe mode?
close excel
windows start button|Run
type:
excel /safe
and hit enter
then test it.
