Default What happened to the Auto-Dialer in Access 2003?

There was an Auto-dialer button available in Access 2003. It was available
from either the form or datasheet view. It was accessible from the Menu by
clicking 'View-Toolbars-Customize-Records'. I cannot find it in Access 2007.
Can anyone advise me where to find it?

Not sure it's there (I don't have Access 2007 installed on this machine),
but see whether http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ac...388991033.aspx
helps you.

Thanks for your reply. I had already tried that link. It does help on many
things. Unfortunately, if you follow the menu clicks I referred to it does
not let you drill down that far. In fact, it tells you that some things are
missing, but it does not tell you what is missing. Odd thing is that I am
the 'only' person as far as I can tell who is searching for this. It would
sure seem that someone else used it in 2003 and would be looking for it in
2007. In fact, I thought about creating an Access 2003 database which uses
the item and then convert the mdb to accdb and see what happens. Does that
make any sense?

Probably worth a try.

Just because the interactive cross-reference doesn't let you drill down
further, have you tried it in Access 2007?

I have not tried it. That is actually my point. I don't know how to do it
in VBA and I don't know how to access the auto-dialer command button in
Access 2007.

Did you follow the instruction from the cross-reference? The commands that
were previous accessible through View | Toolbars | Customize are accessed by
clicking on the Office button (the round icon in the upper left-hand corner)

Yep. I did that and I cannot find the Auto-Dialer Button. It is gone. I
just wish things like this were addressed somewhere. I have wasted hours
trying to figure out what they did with it.

I am having the same problem. I can't believe it's absence has gone
virtually unnoticed. Any other clues?

Tom, I have yet to hear from anyone who can tell me what to do. I don't
think Microsoft knows what happened to it. And, if they do, they have
advised their support people to not tell us.

This isn't the answer but may be of interest to you as a workaround:

It includes an example of "replicating" auto dialer functionality.
