O 2007 Setup Fails - LIS failed to get the package ID Type: Invali
Windows XP SP2 pc with Office XP. Office 2007 setup.exe is failing, once
executed, the splash screen flashes and that's it. The setup log's last 4 lines state: LIS: start parsing setup xml Error: LIS failed to get the package ID Type: InvalidXMLProperty. Catalyst execution finished: 01/22/2009 12:35:46. Return code: 30044. Exception caught: InvalidXMLProperty. PERF: TickCount=184366187 Name=RunSetup Description=End function Nothing remarkable about this pc. Same issue if I uninstall Office XP. I edited the config.xml to do a debug log, but log information does not change. Can not find any useful hits on web regarding the lines above. Any suggestions would be great, thanks.
