Default Help! and Go to last edit position

Hi all

Word 2000 (I know it's old but both these functions used to work!)

If I select any topic in the Help, nothing happens.Might my help file have
shifted to somewhere else? Where can I look for or get it? Where should it
be?

Shift F5, I think used to take me to the place I was last at when the
document was open. This doesn't seem to work now.

TIA

The classic reason is that you have enabled the WordPerfect options under
Tools, Options, General tab. Deselect them and then all your keyboard
shortcuts should work correctly again.

That suggests a third party add-in that is interfering with the GoBack (and
possibly other) command(s).

Test to see if it functions with Word in Safe Mode. From Start | Run
(Winkey+R), type in

winword /a

and press enter. Open and edit a document and test the GoBack command now.
Does it work?

If it doesn't, check the keyboard allocation for the GoBack command to
ensure that it hasn't been accidentally removed or changed.
