Default Macros

I have joined in an organisation where there are lots of macros already
written and need to understand and create new ones. can anybody tell me the
ways to get improve in this area.
Any websites info please.

I would STRONGLY recommend John Walkenbach's book "Excel Power Programming
With Vba". The link below is for the 2003 version but he also has the 2007
version.
