I NEED A QUICK AND EASY WAY TO HAVE DATA I'VE ENTERED INTO
MY INVOICES ( WOOKBOOK 1 ), ALSO ENTER INTO ( WOOKBOOK 2's) SPREADSHEET. THE PROBLEM I CANT SOLVE IS - INVOICE 1 NEEDS TO GO IN ROW 1, INVOICE 2'S DATA AUTOMATICALLY DROP DOWN 1 ROW AND HAVE DATA ENTERED ON ROW 2.I DO 30-40 INVOICES, SO I WOULD LIKE TO FILL OUT MY MASTER INVOICE AND HAVE THE DATA ENTER INTO THE NEXT AVALIABE ROW IN WOOKBOOK 2. PLEASE HELP, THANKS KIRK |

Please make it as easy as possible for others to help you,
do not post in capitals, do use proper punctuation and a spelling checker. It is hard enough trying to figure out what you want without purposely making things difficult. |

Hi Kirk,
I see Harald got a bit further but there are a couple of additional problems with your posting. The subject title is one word so it is not very unique so it gets incorrectly threaded in a lot of browsers and will probably be misthreaded in Google Archives. I have to go back to posts in June to find your posting if I try to look by date unless I unthread the postings.. The other problem is that you cannot solve your problem with worksheet functions you will need a macro (programming) solution. I would suggest you abandon this thread, do a Google Groups search http://groups.google.com/advanced_gr...Excel*&num=100 with the Search all words: invoice master If you are not familiar with macros I would first install some macros and play with them before posting in the programming newsgroup where the minimum requirement is that you are expected to know how to install a macro. Some sample macros unrelated to your question http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/proper.htm and instructions to install a macro can be found in http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/getstarted.htm After you have read the archived postings please post a more specific posting in the programming group with a subject title that properly describes your posting. There is no way that Formulas describes your posting. Some hints for posting: http://www.cpearson.com/excel/newposte.htm http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/posting.htm Assigning invoice numbers and keeping track of invoices is not a trivial task so please do some homework of your own You get the most help from newsgroups if you do your own work /research and get help with specific things that you can't solve. --- HTH, David McRitchie, Microsoft MVP - Excel [site changed Nov. 2001] My Excel Pages: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/excel.htm Search Page: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/search.htm "David McRitchie" wrote in message ...
