Outlook 2003 will not retain Password
Scanning the knowledge base and the posts here, I see this problem occurring since Outlook 2000 and now you have reported it in Outlook 2003. What a shame that they have not been able to fix it since then. I am getting the same error in Outlook 2002 and have so far seen two articles that mention two different ways to fix it. Both involve changing the registry and I am little hesistant to do that.

Outlook 2003 will not retain Password
Tried the steps mentioned in KB article 290684 and it did not fix the problem.
