Connect documenttemplates
Hi!
I uppgraded from Word 2003 to Word 2007 and I have thousands of documents that I would like to connect to new "documenttemplates" I created myself. Is it possible to connect to a documenttemplate after a document has been created, like it was in 2003 on the tools-menu? How? My solution so far has been to create a new document with the new template and then copy the text from 2003-document. But that takes a long time. |

Connect documenttemplates
You can attach new templates to documents in exactly the same way, with the
same limitations. The template button is on the developer tab (which is not shown by default). Enable it from Word Oprions Popular. What would be the point of changing the templates on 'thousands' of documents? Word 2007 will open the earlier documents as they stand. If you want all the functionality and standard text from a template, then creating a new document and copying/pasting the text is really the only approach. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Danne wrote: Hi!
