New design template path
Short:
Is it possible to have a different design template path than Word's user template path? Situation: We are storing Word's normal.dot in the user's home directory, which is on a server. Now the marketing department wants to implement a custom designed template for all users. If I need to place the new template (default.pot) on each user's home directory, I am wasting hundreds of MB placing the same file in each direcory. Jesper |

You are correct that the pointer to the template folder is set in Word. One
suggestion would be to place a shortcut to the corporate template in the template directory. -- Sonia Coleman Microsoft PowerPoint MVP Team Autorun Software, Templates and Tutorials http://www.soniacoleman.com "Jesper Nielsen" wrote in message ... Hi Sonia
I tried that, but it does not have the desired effect. Placing a default.pot in the template directory loads the template automatically in PowerPoint forcing the user to use it. A shortcut called default.pot does not do that trick. Jesper 21-04-05 15:25:57 You are correct that the pointer to the template folder is set in Word.
