Do you mean that the new mail window is already open and you want to
attach a picture? If so what steps are you performing and what happens? (i.e. are you using Insert, File Attachment, or drag and drop). You specifically mention "When in My Pictures". Are you able to do this OK from other folders? If the new mail window has not been opened and you want to select a picture and Right click Send to Mail Recipient doesn't work, see Frank's reply. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Donald" wrote in message ... Attaching Pictures to New Mail Window
Michael, the new mail window is not open.
Step1. I am in My Pictures. Step 2. I select the folder of pictures that I want to e-mail. Step 3. On the left side of the My Pictures Window, I click on "E-mail this folders pictures. Step 4. The software asks me if I want to "Make all the pictures smaller." I click on OK. Step 5. The software makes the pictures smaller and then opens a new mail with the pictures attached. (The new mail window does not open.) Step 6. I fill in all appropriate blanks, To, Subject and desired text. After clicking Ok, I am getting a display that says, " Either there is no default mail client or the mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client." I tried Frank Saunders' suggestions but I did not mess with the registry. That is beyond my expertise bigdog01 "Michael Santovec" wrote: Do you mean that the new mail window is already open and you want to attach a picture? Try selecting a single picture, then the "e-mail this ...". Does that
work? If so, it may be an issue of too much data. If you still have problems, then in Windows XP: Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Set Program Access and Defaults, Email. Michael, I tried your two suggestions and neither helped. Any other ideas?

Michael, I just sent an article from the NY Times to a friend of mine.

Attaching Pictures to New Mail Window
Did that open an OE message composition window for you to enter then TO?
If you got a web form to enter the e-mail address in, that uses a mechanism on the web server and doesn't really test the send to on your PC. If you did the File, Send Page in IE, and it opened and OE message composition which sent OK, that would indicate at least some parts are working OK. Did you try the steps in this article: OLEXP: "Send To" and E-mail Links Do Not Work with Outlook Express http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=306098 There are three procedures there that don't involve editing the registry. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Donald" wrote in message ...
