Default Displaying data from Access/Excel dynamically

Hi,
I am not sure how best to do the following is Visio 2007.
I have data that falls into 5 categories. The data in each category is made
up of 5 elements.

I need a way to visually and dynamically represent this with a lot of data.

So depending on the element the data should have a text box of a specific
colour. Depending on the category the data and textbox should be placed in a
specific area of the image.

As I said I have a lot of data so the above needs to be done dynamically
everytime the data is updated. The data is currently in an access db but can
be moved to an excel spreadsheet if needed.

I know that there is code that shows how to read excel files, but how do you
sort data and then display it is specific areas.

Any help you can give me with regards to this would be helpful.

Regards,
Harry
