Default Second try: clean install of Office 2003 Pro

I love people who ask a question in reply, then don't check to see if they
got an answer. So here we go again:

Before I actually install it, I would like to know the steps to ensure a
clean install. I have Windows Xp with SP2, and Office Xp Teacher edition.

I have the full edition, not the upgrade.

Do I need to uninstall the Teacher edition first? Anything else? thanks.

Hi Dave,

You don't need to uninstall a prior Office version.
You can use either the 'standard' install, or, my
suggestion would be to use the 'custom' install to
have more visibility on to what is going on in the
installation of the new edition.

You can, if you choose, uninstall the other version
first if you prefer from Add/remove programs in the
Windows control panel, restart the PC then install
the new version. Your documents/files and folders
for items you created should not generally be removed
by doing an uninstall.

In either scenario, backup your Office files/documents
first.
