Default Why won't resizing changes stick?

To All,

We recently underwent an upgrade from Office 2003 (I believe) to Office 2007.

All of my databases have been converted from *.mdb to *.accdb.

It would appear that the queries were resized (both outer dimensions and the
inner dimensions of the design panes).

I can change the outer dimensions but when I try to correct the inner
dimensions (lowering the divider bar to get more separation between the
tables and the output columns), no matter what I try the changes do not stick.

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong and how I can overcome this?

Thank you.
