How do I add "yes" or "no" to branches in decision tree?
I'm working in PowerPoint 2007 using SmartArt. I need to construct a
decision tree with branches that show either "yes" or "no" leading to the next appropriate response. How do I do this? |

How do I add "yes" or "no" to branches in decision tree?
Hi, I'm a Microsoft employee.
Try using the "Hierarchy" style of SmartArt chart. To do so: Go to the "Insert" tab on the Ribbon. Click on "SmartArt." In the dialog box that opens, you'll see "Hierarchy" as an option on the left, fifth from the top. Click on that, and you'll see seven different hierarchy structures that can be made to look "decision tree-ish." Does that help? (Any MVPs want to weigh in?) How do I add "yes" or "no" to branches in decision tree?
Hi Mark
I would create a flowchart for this. See the training course here (although it is for 2003 the principles are the same in 2007): http://office.microsoft.com/training...0618327 31033 Lucy -- Lucy Thomson PowerPoint MVP MOS Master Instructor www.aneasiertomorrow.com.au "Mark Senn" Mark wrote in message ... Mark, if you use the hierarchy diagrams as Eric suggests, you'll need to right-click the boxes and choose Change Shape to get the diamonds you need for the Yes/No decisions. (I use that as an example because the diamond shape is the traditional shape for a decision point in a flow chart. Of course, there may be others.) -- Echo [MS PPT MVP] http://www.echosvoice.com What's new in PPT 2007? http://www.echosvoice.com/2007.htm Fixing PowerPoint Annoyances http://tinyurl.com/36grcd PowerPoint 2007 Complete Makeover Kit http://tinyurl.com/32a7nx |

... "Eric Schmidt" Eric wrote in message ... (Any MVPs want to weigh in?) In a public place? Without at least 4 weeks notice to diet & exercise? No thanks ;-) LOL! Eric, if you have access to the SmartArt team, maybe you can put in a request for some sample flowcharts and decision trees in the next iteration of SmartArt. -- Echo [MS PPT MVP] http://www.echosvoice.com What's new in PPT 2007? http://www.echosvoice.com/2007.htm Fixing PowerPoint Annoyances http://tinyurl.com/36grcd PowerPoint 2007 Complete Makeover Kit http://tinyurl.com/32a7nx |
