"L" shape
when I open a word document, I see a faded backward "L" shape in the upper
left hand corner of the document and an "L" shape in the upper right corner. The marks are repeated at the bottom of the page and on each subsequent page. Any suggestions? |

Sen1,
This is usually the result of installing East Asian language support. Thank you for the response. However, when I attempt to click on Microsoft
Office 2003 Language Settings it ask for the installation CD, which unfortunately was lost in a move. I do not remember installing any other language and this problem started just a few days ago. I am not sure why this requires CD when I have not had the CD for over a year now. "Luc" wrote: Sen1, This is usually the result of installing East Asian language support. If Office came with your computer, you can try going back to your computer
manufacturer (but that doesn't usually work). If you purchased it separately, and you can prove that, you can order replacement CDs from Microsoft. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] ~~~~~ How to ask a question http://support.microsoft.com/KB/555375 "sen1" wrote in message ... I think you'll find it defines the corner limits of where you can type, no? Perhaps with a better description and what kind of problem it's causing, a targetted response might be easier to make. For now, it seems like normal operation. Things like version of Word are needed, and a LOT more information. HTH Pop` |

Hi! I don't think to worry too much about this: it has to do with TAB settings: the LEFT and the RIGHT tabs that either: a) are already predefined in your word templates, b) a user might have clicked on the tab BUTTON at the junction of the two rulers, and clicking along the horizontal ruler defining, accidentaly, new tab stops. Have a look on tab setting via FORMAT/TAB menu. Cheers, Arr |
