If this has to be done often, there is an icon which can

be placed on the
tool bar for much easier and quicker utilization.

Right click in the tool bar and choose Customize,
Click on the Commands tab,
In the "Categories" window, click on Edit,
In the "Commands" window, scroll to the next to last icon,
which is the "Select Visible Cells" one,
Click on it and drag to the tool bar.

Mary,

1) First select your data range as usual

2) Select "Edit" - Select "Go To..." -

Select "Special..." button - Select
"Visible Cells Only" - click "OK" button.

3) Click "Edit - Click "Copy"

4) Select where you want to paste.

5) Paste as usual

I would like to work with my collapsed subtotals

without
the associated detailed rows. When I try to copy a

set of
collapsed subtotals (that is, a set in which I have
clicked the #2 in the far left corner), and try to

copy
that information, it pastes the subtotals plus all of

the
hidden rows.

Can anyone tell me how I can work with only the

subtotals
of a spreadsheet?

Thanks
