Remove Spaces
Bryant
You could do it with Find/Replace. Or you could use: =SUBSTITUTE(cell," ","") Andy. "Bryant Caldwell" wrote in message ... How can I use a function to remove spaces from a string. Before Smith , Bob After Smith,Bob Thanks, Bryant |

=SUBSTITUTE(A1," ","")

Remove Spaces
Hi Bryant
A1 contains: Smith , Bob B2 contains: =SUBSTITUTE(A1," ","") , giving Smith,Bob. Alternatively highlight cells which you want to remove spaces from and CTRL+H to replace " " (no quote marks) with nothing.
