Installing offce 97 on windows XP
Hi
I am trying to install office 97 on a windows xp system. I keep gettting an error message c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt.The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOSand microsoft windows applications. choose close to terminate application. if somebody could give a step by step guide I would be grateful Thanks Terry |

I would be interested in others' solutions (as I'm not really happy with
mine but it's quick and works), but here is mine. I got the Autoexec.nt and Config.nt from a "good machine and copied it into the C:\windows\system32 directory I don't know what is causing the problem, but I thin these two files have something to di with the 16 bit subsystem.
