Default Access xp runtime fails to install

a client has a New Compaq Presario running XP home. He has Office 97
installed. I have given him an installation disk for an Access app that
SHOULD install the Access runtime. He gets an error message "Office System
Pack requires NT 4.0 Service pack 6 or later.." and installation ends. I
have set up a test box with XP home only and the installation runs fine.

any ideas?

You might want to post this to the Access development group.
