Default "Enter Network Password" when opening word doc from web site

One user on our intranet (IIS5/IE6/Office 2000) reports occasional problems
opening Word documents.
She gets an authentication window

"Enter Network password"

Please enter your authentication information OK/Cancel

Resource http://........................

user name

Password

(save this password....)

"

with a Word logo on the taskbar

We are using integrated authentication on the network, and on the web
server.

I've checked the permissions and they are the same as any other document on
the site.

I suggest just creating a new document. Going InsertFile Browse to file.
(Takes the content from the previous document)

Then replace this document on the network with this new one.

It could even have the same name.
