Default Extracting Clean HTML from a Word2000 Document?

I've got a Word 2000 document with a table that I want to save as clean HTML
with no span tags or CSS.

I've tried Save As... HTML,
I've tried Save As Web Page
I've tried Export to Compact (hah!) HTML

All of these options give me a whole bunch of style tags and a huge style
list in the HTML header.

All I want is HTML and no style tags, none of that mso:normal crap that
balloons the size of the document. Any help would be appreciated...!

Thanks!

Sadly, 'clean HTML from a Word document' is an oxymoron. You can work with
good HTML *or* you can work with Word. Not both.
