So they're acknowledging a problem in the release code? It's not the first
that wasn't there in the beta. At least it's on their radar now, if it
wasn't before.

i create a incident report and here's MS's response:

Thanks for the update. I have tested both of your setup and found that it
works in BETA but not in the Final release. Currently it looks to be a
changed in the final release that is causing this issue. I am currently
working with the Dev team to try and find out what could be the cause. I
will
keep you updated on the issue as soon as I get some more information.

the problem is in the final relaease code. the Beta code works fine

You did the right thing by filing an incident. If more people do that, then they'll get complaints from "enough people."

OK

Can you tell us the best, free, way of reporting this bug. It is a real pain.

If you have a retail version of Office/Outlook 2007, you can file a support incident on this issue. This is the best way to let Microsoft know that there's a problem with the application. Unlimited support for Office/Outlook 2007 is free for the first 90 days after activation. See http://support.microsoft.com/gp/vista_supoffnew for more information on this support policy.

Thanks

Unfortunately I installed Office2007 just before my MSDN subscription
expired so I'm on my own :-(

If my company decide to renew my subscription I will be straight on the case
via MSDN.

Thanks
