Opening Files with Windows Explorer
Our company is still using Office 2003 but I have Office 2007 on my laptop as
well for preview purposes. I often use the Windows Explorer to open files, but it defaults to Office 2007. How do I set the default to open in 2003? I want to keep both suites on laptop but open in the older version routinely. Thanks for any help you can offer. Daylilylaura. |

While I don't have an in-Office fix for that problem, I can tell you how to
do so in Windows XP. StartControl PanelFolder OptionsFile Types. Once there, find .PPT, .PPS, and .POT and change them to open with Microsoft PowerPoint 2003. -- If you would like additional help, catch me on the PowerPoint Heaven Discussion Board (www.pptheaven.mvps.org), where I am frequently active. Thanks! "Daylilylaura" wrote: Our company is still using Office 2003 but I have Office 2007 on my laptop as well for preview purposes.
