Creating new account prevents sending on a Terminal Server
Hi there, I have created a new account on my outlook profile so that I can
send messages from an alternate 'Reply-to' address. This works fine when I log in at an XP workstation and can send without any problems using both accounts. The problem arises however when I log in to a Windows 2003 server using the same log in credentials and outlook profile, and no emails will send. Everything goes to the outbox and generates the following error Task 'Microsoft Exchaneg Server - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x80040119) : 'Unknown Error 0x80040119' I cannot send from either account (one is Exchange server account, Other is a POP3 account). But if I delete the POP3 account I can send using the Exchaneg account without any problems. Any suggestions welcome, Thanks Tim |

Sounds like you are not allowed to connect to a SMTP server outside the
company. This could very well be a (good) security precaution on the terminal server. Contact your admin to verify this. -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] Coauthor, Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.howto-outlook.com/ Outlook FAQ, HowTo, Downloads, Add-Ins and more ----- "Tim PAt Dufficy" wrote in message ... I am the SYS Admin, and the SMTP server I am trying to connect to is inside
the firewall on the same LAN. Any other suggestions, or do you know what the error messaeg means? "Roady [MVP]" wrote: Sounds like you are not allowed to connect to a SMTP server outside the company.
