Default Creating New Folders in Outlook 2007

Whenever I create a new folder in 2007, a "hand icon" appears under the
folder. Could someone tell me what this means?

That's a symbol that the folder is shared.

No, that's what I thought too. However, none of them are shared. They are new
folders without any permissions to them. Possibly a bug in Outlook???

I simply can't reproduce this.

I noticed the same icon on folders which weren't shared, however if you look
on the permissions tab under properties on the folders with the icon. You
should find that the "Folder Visble" check box in the "Other" section will be
ticked. If you deselect this the hand should disappear!

Hope this helps!
