Default Import Charts and data to Access

Hello
I have an excel sheet containing data and graphs(Charts) based on them. I
want these data and graphs to be imported to Access. Data must be linked
together with specific graph (chart). I dont mind if the graph (Chart) is
imported as image.
I want to have a combo box on the top of a form. When I select an option to
appear the data with the specific graph(chart).
How I can do that??
Is there any example similar on the internet to look at it??
Please help me!
Thanks in advance

Default Import Charts and data to Access

Hi Kyriaki,

Speaking very generally...yes, it's possible to:

- Link your Excel spreadsheets to an Access database,
- Create a form in the db based on the linked table/spreadsheet,
- Add a chart object to the form based on the linked table OR a query
based on the linked table
- Have the chart object change dynamically depending on what record is
displayed in the form (and how...columnar, tabular, etc.),
- OR Paste the Excel charts in the form as images such as .jpg. Of
course, these will be static images.

It's difficult for me to offer more specific advice since I don't know
how your data are arranged in Excel, your comfort level with Access, or
how you wish to display your data. I suggest you go to Access, link
your spreadsheet (File | Get External Data | Link), build your form or
report (NOTE: Access forms are mainly for data entry. If you plan to
display or print data, use a Report.) using the FormWizard, switch to
Design View, add a chart object (doesn't matter what kind at this
stage), then double-click on the chart to open MS Graph. The Graph Help
file (surprise!) has quite a bit of useful information to help you get
started.

Good luck,

LeAnne
