Default Adding image to label

I am formatting a label in Word 2007 and it won't let me click back to
'insert' tab (as indicated in Help) to allow insertion of logo. Also cannot
open 'home' to allow formatting but can do it by selecting label text and
right-clicking. Thank you for any help you can give.
